The Motorola G series has got those who are looking for a new phone on a budget talking.
This is mostly because it packs a variety of nifty features all in an affordable package and a pretty sick camera too.
If there's any worry, Android do this thing where older models don’t get as much love as before once a new model enters the fray in the matter of updates.
Looks like the Moto G4 Plus isn't going that way though as it has been revealed that the Moto G4 Plus will be upgradeable to Android N and Android O. The former is still in development but it is expected to be released later this year.
That also means that the handset’s upgrade to Android N is pretty much a given.
So...If Motorola really does do it and updates the handset to Android O, then those getting the phone can be assured of the N and the O (NO?). Nothing's set in stone though, but for now that's how it is.

Motorola on Tuesday announced a pair of affordable new Android phones.

Motorola’s much lauded Moto G line will be welcoming two additions this year, they are the Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus.

While the phones are eerily similar, the Plus version does sport a better camera, a fingerprint sensor, more RAM and more storage.

According to Engadget, The pair of phones were announced at an event in India.

Now for the good stuff-- what are the specs

The Moto G4 handsets have 5.5-inch Full HD displays, Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processors, 5-megapixel front-facing cameras and 3,000 mAh batteries.

They also possess 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, and a 13-megapixel camera, likely similar to the one on the current Moto G model.

Elder brother Moto G4 Plus packs a real punch with 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, a fingerprint sensor and a 16-megapixel rear camera.

In addition to more megapixels, the camera has other improvements over the one found on the regular Moto G model, such as a f/2.0 aperture, phase detection autofocus and “big pixels.”

The camera though is the real belle of the ball with the company spending considerable time during the event talking about it.

The camera is reportedly so badass that DxOMark has already rated the Moto G Plus’s photo quality ahead of the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus.

The Motorola G series promises to be affordable and have already hit shelves.
