Early today we got a press release concerning BlackBerry's latest device named Z30, this model ofcourse is a sister to BlackBerry Z10 but the obvious difference is that the BlackBerry Z30 comes as a Big sis to the aforementioned smartphone.

In Summary before you head to the press release, here are some basic and important features that comes with this device some say its like an S4, others say its bigger than Galaxy Note, whichever way when it arrives fiscally we'll fill the gaps....

The BlackBerry Z30 is comes with the new OS 10.2 build Sporting a 5" Super AMOLED display, 1.7 GHz processor with quadcore graphics, the Z30 will be the second latest all-touch smartphone in the BB 10 family from BlackBerry.

The most important part is the battery and Blackberry didn't disappoint, the Z30 features a 2880mAh battery making it the biggest battery ever made on a BlackBerry till date.

Also a rear feature among other smartphones comes into play as the new Z30 smartphone comes with a New Generation Antenna Technology from BlackBerry which dynamically tunes reception to give you better connectivity in low signal areas. BlackBerry® Paratek Antenna can give you faster data transfers and fewer dropped calls in low signal areas, keeping you connected in more places.

Most of us were probably expecting the Z10/Q10/Q5 to utilize the Paratek technology that RIM acquired a while back, but it looks like they finally implemented it in the Z30. Or, it's already in the previous BB10 devices and BlackBerry is just highlighting it again.

As for getting your hands on one, the Z30 will be available from select retailers in the UK and Middle East beginning next week, and all other regions going into the holiday season.

In other News BBM(Blackberry Messenger) release date will now be available to Android and IPhones  Sept 21 and Sept 22 respectively...

Just after a successful released of the all new BlackBerry 10 devices e.g Z10 and Q10, heres a sneak leak to what we could say the next iBlackberry lol coz this device R10 is said to have a non-removable battery with a back plastic cover that looks like an iPhone 3G...

The device is rumored to ship with a 3.1-inch display operating at a resolution of 720 x 720, a 5-megapixel rear camera, 2GB of system memory, 8GB of internal flash storage and a 1,800mAh battery that isn’t removable.

However its surely running on the New BlackBerry 10 OS, other sources suggested the phone would launch sometime during the third quarter for between $300 to $400 without carrier subsidy.

The BlackBerry R10 at first glance, it looks a lot like an older iPhone from the rear, you can however call this iPhone 3G mimic lol...Till then lest see what this device holds.

**Updated 25th Of July 2013***

This year(2012) has been a great year for smartphone makers and users, and its been a wonderful time for apps developers coz they've seen some things people want to do with their smartphones but this ones for BB users and I've comprised what tends to be on every blackberry owners phone and they are also the most widely used apps for 2012...

1 BlackBerry Messenger(BBM): Blackberry Messenger tends to be the number one coz without it I don't think there would be BlackBerry also no app that can replace it as far as its on a BlackBerry Platform. Its also the Fastest when it comes to chatting, sending and receiving pictures, VN's(Voice Notes), Broadcasting a message to hundreds of people at the same time.
Website http://www.blackberry.com/messenger

2 Twitter: Taking second sure isn't a mistake coz people tend to be on it more often than others. Its a social networking site used in tweeting, sending messages, making Friends, knowing what is currently Trending in the world, your country, State and also seeing what your favorite Stars are talking about.  Website http://m.twitter.com

3 Facebook: Takes third position because its basically used by its users for sharing pictures they just snapped and upload, you find tons of people online yet they are not ready for a chat coz they are on BBM and Twitter. But its still doing well the new mobile app GUI is very cool, you can now save photos right from the app to your phone instead of munching it which I find a great step for them.
Website http://m.facebook.com

4 OperaMini: The Fastest browser in the world taking the fourth position, This browser is mostly found on all most all BlackBerry smartphones its used for browsing the web, downloading music, saving internet pictures, reading online news and much more. Its the fastest browser you can ever rely on. Website http://m.opera.com

5 BlackBerry Native Browser: This is Blackberry's default browser and its taking fifth position because this days people on BB tends to open links sent to them from their friends using this browser maybe coz its a bit fast and delivers the web page content more interesting(or its just that they are reluctant to Open it with other browers). This browser is best with OS 5 or Higher
Website http://www.blackberry.com

6 Pixmix: This app like its name is used to mix any picture on your phone or memory card, with different type of templates/design that best suites your taste. There's paid and free version for this app and it can be purchased from Appworld.

7 Screen Muncher: Taking the seventh position is used for screen shoting any thing you're currently doing, if its a movie you're watching and you love a part you can just pause it and "HuM" it that's Munch it. Its a cool app with Paid and Free version on Appworld.

8 PicStory: Its about adding, editting and puting cool effects to your pictures just like Pixmix I mentioned above.

9 App World: BlackBerries very own app market used for purchasing and downloading applications, themes and games on your smartphone both Free/Trial and Paid.
Website http://www.blackberry.com/appworld

10 Whatsapp: A mobile app for chatting and sharing files just by having your friends phone number. Whatsapp is a one year free app on a single number but after then you can purchase the app for just $0.99/year.  Website http://m.whatsapp.com
And this comes to the end of the list, thanks for reading, though these are just my ratings from which I have observed from a lot of BB users around me and on the Social networks.

Research In Motion Ltd.’s stock fell to a nine-year low Friday, a day after the Canadian company said phones running its upcoming BlackBerry 10 operating system won’t be available until after the holiday shopping season.

Sales of the once-pioneering BlackBerry phones, which now look ancient next to the latest iPhones and Android devices, fell 41 percent in the latest quarter and likely won’t pick up again until new phones come out.
By then, it might be too late. When the new BlackBerrys go on sale in the first three months of 2013 — assuming there won’t be yet-another delay — people will have even more choices:
— This fall, Apple Inc. is expected to release a new iPhone with an improved Siri virtual assistant. It promises a new mapping service that sports voice navigation.
— Samsung and other phone makers are continually selling new models that run Google’s Android operating software. The next version of Android, expected in mid-July, will have improved search and photo sharing.
— Phones running a revamped version of Microsoft’s Windows system are also coming this fall.

BlackBerrys were once a staple in corporate environments because of their reputation for security and reliability. People pulled them out to check email in restaurants, living rooms and vacation homes such that they became known as “CrackBerrys.” When he became president, Barack Obama refused to part with his BlackBerry despite worries about emails sent through it complying with public-record laws.
But BlackBerrys lost their cachet when iPhones came along and demonstrated that smartphones could be good for more than email. People could now watch movies, play games, read books and update their Facebook statuses easily. Outside software programmers started spewing out apps to extend the devices’ functionality and popularity.

RIM portrays BlackBerry 10 as its way of catching up. It promises the multimedia, Internet browsing and apps experience that customers now demand.
RIM unveiled it last October, long after BlackBerrys began to slip in stature. Analysts had hoped to see BlackBerry 10 phones by early 2012, but RIM said in December that they won’t be available until late in the year because they needed a chipset that wasn’t available yet. Now, RIM said the phones won’t be out until 2013.
With yet another delay, BlackBerry loyalists may not be willing to wait longer. Already, the BlackBerry’s U.S. market share has plummeted from 41 percent in 2007 to less than 4 percent in the first three months of 2012, according to research firm IDC.

“The possibility of a comeback is rapidly diminishing,” analyst Steven Li at Raymond James said in a research note. He added that the delay also could discourage outside software developers from writing BlackBerry 10 apps that rival the thousands available for iPhones and Android devices.
Sterne Agee analyst Shaw Wu said RIM’s main concern should be “more about staying alive. We believe the company needs to be careful with its cash or risk facing bankruptcy.”

BlackBerry just released a new update for all blackberry smartphones and this release is going to fix some bugs and integrate more apps into the BlackBerry Messenger where you and your contacts can interact with great applications so that you don't get so bored of BBM.

Here's the longed for BlackBerry Playbook a lot of Playbook owners have been waiting for, looks like the wait is over because now in the update there are so many features you would expect from this update. Features like a New gadget docking Homescreen view, introduction of the Android App Player in OS 2.0 to broaden the selection of apps available via
BlackBerry App World, the ability to use your phone's keyboard to enter text on the PlayBook or use your phone as a remote control for your tablet.

According to Mashable.com the New OS brings social integration with services such as Facebook and Twitter, speedier operation with the help of real-time multitasking and several new productivity tools including Documents To Go, which lets you view and edit Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint files.

BlackBerry OS 2.0 for PlayBook also packs native calendar, contacts and messages apps – something the initial version sorely lacked.

BlackBerry Bridge is another new feature that lets you seamlessly switch between screens of your BlackBerry smartphone and the PlayBook. It also lets you use your smartphone as a keyboard and mouse for the tablet.

BlackBerry PlayBook users can get the new OS 2.0 by checking for updates in “Settings.”

Research In Motion Ltd. has lost another major enterprise customer, this time to Apple Inc.

Halliburton Co, Houston Texas-based firm which is among the largest energy services providers in the world plans to replace about 4,500 company-issued BlackBerrys with iPhones within two years. The reason is in order to better support our mobile applications initiatives, said by Halliburton representative to social medias on Tuesday.

Don't be perplexed, recall In November 2010, computer maker Dell Inc. removed approximately
25,000 BlackBerry smartphones and issued employees with devices based on Microsoft Corp.’s Windows Phone 7 platform instead. Also Bank of America and Citigroup company who currently have a massive 500k employees put together, are also considering switching to RIM's rival APPLE in a matter of time.

In the market arena RIM’s share of the United States smartphone market has plummeted from a high of 42.1% two years ago to just 16% by the end of 2011. But the UK shares hasn't dropped yet its still the number one choice for UK citizens/immigrants.

Conclusion: While BlackBerry slows in Bringing the device that will catch back the eye of her lost customer, other manufacturers are way ahead. At the moment Apple already released iPhone 4/4s consecutively with iOS 5 that got that voice to message thing called iSiri, while blackberry are still on the same BlackBerry 7 platform that still has not yet moved the market, but we hear of a BlackBerry 10 this year( I hope this will move them back to where they slide from).

Sometime early this year, BlackBerry were working on updating the Operating System for 9790 aka Bold 4 from the default OS 7.0 to OS which intend to have the following features according to GSMARENA.COM , Wi-Fi enabled calling, NFC tagging, Mobile Hotspot and FM radio support among other improvements. Also updated are various BlackBerry apps, such as Messenger, Traffic, Maps and Travel.

Until now, only the Bold 9900/9930, the Torch 9810/9850/9860, and the Curve 9350/9360/9370 have had official 7.1 builds.

Atleast now the Bold 4 users can now have a feel of the Bold 5 yea.

The last time I posted something related to this was about the difference between blackberry's bold 9780/9790 which some folks claim the 9780 is Bold 4 whereas its just a Bold 3 Click Here to learn more. Well for today we want to see the difference between this two Bold touch smartphones the Bold 9790/9900, the bold 9790 is not as stylish and powerful as the Bold 9900 although they don't really have anything that's not common with each other because from what I can learn the bold 9790 is just like a typical clone of Bold 9900(the most talked about smartphobe ATM). You might wanna read the Difference Between Blackberry Q20 and Q10

This apparently isn't a fresh news tho, this happened last year November when a week before the end of the month Google announced the closure of GMail for BlackBerry, in quote from Googleappsupdates.blogspot.com
“ Beginning November 22, 2011, we will end support for the Gmail
App for Blackberry (installed native app). Over this past year,
we've focused efforts on building a great Gmail experience in the
mobile browser and will continue investing in this area.
Users may continue to use the app, if installed, however it will not
be supported by Google, or available for download starting
November 22. BlackBerry users can continue to access Gmail
through the mobile web app at http://www.gmail.com in their
BlackBerry web browser”

Gmail for BlackBerry is an application that pushes emails straight to your blackberry phone with no hassle but Google didn't consider the fact that some people still use old blackberry OS Which the native browser doesn't support HTML5. And also looking at the Android version its pretty Much fascinating with the new GUI integration that makes you just wanna read your emails over and over again but on the iOS its not that bad.

BlackBerry finally brought the update that fixes the Reinstall issues some App world users have been experiencing since the update of the predecessor of this update which was Version so I hope this help you guys.

Just some few research I was doing I found this rumor, surrounding the internet about BlackBerry releasing some set of smartphones that Could shake the Mobile market share in favour of RIM ™ . Sound interesting yea but I found it not quite appealing because when there's a rumor like this its definitely going to be True or False by the way I also found the code names for this Devices funny and you will agree after I list 'em' for you, here are their names “London, Lisbon, Milan, Nevada, BlackForest ” . Don't be surprise Google's Android ™ OS code names where also named after Dessert and Intel ™ named theirs after rivers, so if RIM ™ named theirs after cities in London(or United Kingdom) its not a bad idea, all we need is a solid Technology from this funny code names.

Released Date
According to the report the BlackBerry Milan(the one by your right above) is slated for March, and may be similar to the BlackBerry London( the one by your left above). Perhaps different versions for carriers. Other than the codename there isn't much yet out on the BlackBerry Lisbon. As for the BlackBerry Nevada it is said to be similar to the BlackBerry Bold 9900 and may be slated for late November. Last but not the least, is the BlackBerry Black Forest which may actually be a 10" PlayBook.Out of all of these the 10" PlayBook may be the most believable as RIM did tell us that they are working on 10" PlayBook back in Nov on their forum site.

These smartphones are coming with a preloaded New BlackBerry OS which was Named BBX but later changed to BlackBerry 10 because of copy write infringement from a company based in New Mexico “Basis International ” and they said it held a trademark on the "BBx" name and would go to court to protect its property.
Basis, founded in 1985, develops its own software language, databases and toolsets for
applications to run on Windows, Linux and Mac operating systems among others and the company feared they might loose customers to RIM ™

Change of name

Well that is a long story now, with the New OS code name “ BlackBerry 10 ” its said to have been Designed to look like a Playbook and also one of the New features is that this OS 10 “ BlackBerry 10 ” is most likely going to have Apps that runs on Android & iPhones to run on the New smartphones. As at the time of this post there are no image Leaks for “Nevada, Lisbon, and Black Forset(Playbook like) ” to display. Keep your fingers crossed for any update on this.

Breaking News! Indeed Airtel Nigeria has officially announced this new BlackBerry subscription for Nigerians only.

Apparently this isn't the first of its kind in Nigeria, because Glo Nigeria officially announced their's less than two months and I think MTN NG also has this package but both networks charge N1500 monthly which means Airtel is waving off N300 to its customers isn't that Great discount from Airtel!
Here's a little text from Airtel

“Satisfy your exact need: chat away, browse the net non-stop, send and receive mails on your blackberry.com address for N1,200 monthly. Text bsm to 440! ”

But wait...

Am not a biased person but I like to say as it is and I find this difficult for some humans, I just want to let you all know that this package has TOS(Terms and Conditions) where by you're experiencing slow connectivity its not going to be the Network providers fault its going to be based on what type of subscription you're on because you definitely won't enjoy the same service with someone whose subscription is N3000. Talking from an experience with one of the above Networks offering N1500 a month the connection is nothing to write home about, pings takes hours to deliver and the worst is Google.com its slower than my grandmother reading KJV Bible to open the webpage and when you call their Customer Care they blame your area claiming because you're not in a 3G area, why do we need to be in an area where there's 3G what if we are not?

But ever since have been using Airtel on my BlackBerry it has never given me problem so Enjoy this New package from Airtel while it last before New subscribers kill the server.

Late one night i was with my friends joking and doing all sorts then i found out 80% of them are using either iPhone with Blackberry or with an Android phone, then i sat down to ask where's Nokia ? and it echoed in my here "they've gone back to Finland" lol i went surprisingly some one brought a Nokia Lumia 800 i was astonish and i said this is a great leap for Nokia in collaboration with Microsoft its definitely going to change the way people use their smart-phones. Now despite the upgrade from Nokia lets look at the features in which this giants are using to grab the into buy their phones. If you're wondering what the New Nokia Lumia 800 is heres the picture of it below.

(1) Research In Motion also known for BlackBerry:This company change the way phones used to be, apparently no one i repeat no one ever thought of a simple yet easy Messenger ever, am talking about BlackBerry Messenger(BBM) yep remember back when we used to download Yahoo Messenger just to chat ior NIMBUZZ and EBUDDY yea those days are gone now(except for those still using those phones type of phones) and this app is one of the reason every body world wide wants to use BlackBerry and the other way people use in recognizing BBM is that simple four to seven letter word PING or PINGING and also the OS which is unique on its own, its current OS is OS 7 you wouldn't mind getting your hands on it. BlackBerry is widely used in the UK(i read 79% users) and they currently estimated a whooping 70million BlackBerry units world wide.

Next is Apple also known for iPhone: Steve Jobs is the brain behind this widely use touch screen phone, the man who started in a very tough point, read this article How It All Began With Steve Jobs you would understand where this Great man got his ideas from (RIP Steve Jobs) back to what i was writing before that emotionally mode came up iPhone is widely know for its wide Touch Screen with apps, games pictures and more you just cant comprehend. Apple did a great job one this mobile phone and its currently the first choice for Americans.Plus you can PING on it and the app used is called WhatsApp to download it goto iTUNES to download it and its FREE

Lastly Google also known for its Android OS: This is not a phone don't get me wrong its an Operating System short form of OS its a platform owned by Google and Google licensed it to any mobile manufacturer and just to name a few mobile manufacturers using this OS we have Samsung(the number user), Sony Ericson, LG, Motorola and lots more you can wiki it or Google to satisfy your self. This OS is also known for its stylish menus and for gamers this is definitely one of the best Platform you can play on and you won't regret second goes to iOS from Apple.

Thanks for Reading hope you enjoyed it this are just my concern am not biased though.

BlackBerry did a great job on the New OS 7 ringtones, I personally liked it so I did some research on how OS 5 users can benefit from this nice tones RIM composed. And now even OS 4.7 users can download it to their phone only if your player is capable of playing m4a formats/file.

Today am giving out the link to Download OS 7 ringtones to your BlackBerry plus how to make it appear in your sound profile.
Okay since you are ready scroll down this post and click the download link once downloaded successfully, you'll need an extractor Coz its in a ZIP file(don't be scared there's a free app you can download to unzip it). There are two simple ways you can use to unzip this stuffs for FREE

First step is for Mobile Users: Download FILESCOUT from AppWorld or click FILESCOUT once found download it after you've downloaded it, it'll ask you to restart your phone accept it. Once your phone is turned on there will be a short cut on your menu screen, open it you should see (SYSTEM , STORE and SDcard this is where you'll see all your files, locate where you stored the zip file ones found PRESS menu click unzip but remember when you want to unzip don't just unzip in where you found the ZIP file goto MemoryCard=BlackBerry=RINGTONES then Unzip there. Ones it has finish you can now goto Sounds=Edit Profile=Loud=Phone then choose any of the New Ringtones you have downloaded and enjoy! OS 7 ringtones on your OS 5 .

Second step is for Pc users: On PC its quite very easy but requires someone who knows how to connect and disconnect his/her BlackBerry and am not talking about DM(BlackBerry Desktop Manager). Now scroll down this post and download the ZIP file........Finished Downloading? Ok simply goto the Zip file you just downloaded( Trust me its Virus Free No Trick here) Unzip the file you just downloaded to a̶̲̥̅̊ folder, after Unzipping Open the folder CTRL + A to select all then press CTRL + C to copy haven't done that connect you BlackBerry to you PC using USB after that accept mass storage mode on your BlackBerry to be able to view your files from your SYSTEM. Ones successfully connected open your phone folder on your PC if you want to save it on your memory card Goto Computer=removable disk=BlackBerry=Ringtone=then paste what you copied from the Zip file into this folder then Disconnect you phone from the USB! Boom! You now have an OS 7 ringtone on you OS 5.

Note: This is for those who can't afford Phones with OS 7 built ;) and do not hesitate to report if the links is broken.
