With the anticipation for the Samsung Galaxy S8 and the iPhone 8 on ridiculous levels, many would be forgiven for forgetting that the Nokia P1 is also coming out this year.

While it may be a bit under the radar, some new images if the phone suggest that it may be a bit of a dark horse in terms of top phones this year.

Ever since the Finnish company came back on the map, there has been a steady hubbub surrounding it.

A new leaked video shows that the phone won't do too badly from the looks of things and it's move into the world of Android might stand it in good stead moving forward.

In terms of looks, the Nokia P1 will sport an all-metal body that is curved at the corners, similar to many leading Android devices around today.

The device looks like it will have a 5.3-inch display covered in Gorilla Glass 5, making it hopefully resistant to drops and spills, and come with IP57 dust and waterproof protection

Camera-wise, the P1 will come with a 22.6MP rear camera (whistles). For charging, it will have a USB-C port, but the device is also expected to sport a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Under the hood, Nokia isn't even playing with what they have under there. According to reports, the device is going to be sporting a Snapdragon 835 processor, which is currently the most powerful mobile processor available today.

This will be backed up by a massive 6GB of RAM and your choice of 128GB or 256GB storage.

This is all kept running by a huge 3,500mAh battery that should provide you with all-day battery life.

Nokia is set to reveal all on its new smartphones at an event in Mobile World Congress 2017 in Barcelona on February 26th.
