Lenovo have been borderline vocal about their desire to make their Miix 2-in-1 tablet series like the Microsoft Surface, from the 3:2 aspect ratio display to the integrated full-width kickstand to the snap-on keyboard cover.

That's not necessarily a bad thing as the products are pretty decent overall. Lenovo do have a new one though and that is the Miix 720 which is to be unveiled at CES 2017

This is practically an update to the Miix 700 which was introduced a year ago at CES 2016.

A lot of what was on the last Miix is here, from the 12-inch 3:2 form factor to the kickstand that's mounted via a small pair of Lenovo's iconic watchband hinges that fold back to 150 degrees. On the inside you'll see it's powered by the 7th-generation Intel Core i7 "Kaby Lake" processors along with Intel HD 620 graphics, up to 16GB of RAM, and an SSD drive of up to 1TB.

Naturally, the Miix 720 will run Windows 10, but unlike Lenovo's 2017 ThinkPad laptops, this won't be a bloatware-free Microsoft Signature Image — there's plenty of extra stuff pre-installed on this tablet.

So as a tablet, a lot of attention was given to the display and it's not half bad as it has a 2:3 aspect ratio 12-inch LCD panel with a dense 2880x1920 resolution and 400-nit brightness.

As for the camera, you have a 1MP front-facing camera that offers IR support for Windows Hello facial recognition authentication (there's a 5MP shooter on the back). On the bottom of the Miix 720 is a magnetic mount for the keyboard cover, which features keys with 1.5mm of travel and backlighting — and it's included with the tablet. All of this is built into a 14.5mm-thick 2.4lb metal body. Lenovo includes a Thunderbolt 3/USB-C port (also the tablet's charge port), a microSD card slot, and a pair of full-size USB ports — one of which is always-on so you can charge your phone off the Miix 720's battery even when the tablet's off. Speaking of the battery, Lenovo estimates up to 8 hours of battery life for the Miix 720.

In addition to the included keyboard cover, there's an updated Lenovo Active Pen 2 in the box. This AAAA-powered touchscreen pen offers 4096 levels of pressure sensitivity (double the first version) and has a built-in programmable shortcut button.

So in case you're in the market for a new tablet, the Miix720 might just be the way to go.

Apple plans to introduce a new 10.5-inch iPad Pro model in 2017 to go along with a 12.9-inch iPad Pro 2 and a "low-cost" 9.7-inch iPad model.Looking even further ahead,analyst Ming-Chi Kuo predicts "revolutionary" changes for the iPad lineup for 2018 "at the earliest," with Apple making "radical" changes to the iPad's design and shifting to an AMOLED display.He adds;
We expect three new iPads (12.9” iPad Pro 2, new size 10.5” iPad Pro & low-cost 9.7” iPad) to be launched in 2017. If the iPad comes in a larger size, such as a 10.5” model, we believe it will be helpful to bid for tenders within the commercial and education markets. As a result, we expect Apple to launch a 10.5” iPad Pro in 2017. In addition, we estimate the 12.9” iPad Pro 2 and 10.5” iPad Pro will adopt the A10X processor, with TSMC (2330 TT, NT$177.5, N) being the sole supplier using 10nm process technology. The low-cost 9.7” model may adopt the A9X processor, which is also exclusively supplied by TSMC,revolutionary iPad model is likely to be introduced in 2018F at the earliest, with radical changes in form factor, design & user behavior on adoption of flexible AMOLED panel. We believe iPad will follow in the footsteps of the iPhone by adopting AMOLED panel in 2018F at the earliest. If Apple can truly tap the potential of a flexible AMOLED panel, we believe the new iPad model will offer new selling points through radical form factor design and user behavior changes, which could benefit shipments.
This would definitely raise the expectation of Apple customers,as they cant wait to lay their hands on the latest Apple product.

We look forward.

Features like a New gadget docking Homescreen view, introduction of the Android App Player in OS 2.0 to broaden the selection of apps available via
BlackBerry App World, the ability to use your phone's keyboard to enter text on the PlayBook or use your phone as a remote control for your tablet.

According to Mashable.com the New OS brings social integration with services such as Facebook and Twitter, speedier operation with the help of real-time multitasking and several new productivity tools including Documents To Go, which lets you view and edit Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint files.

BlackBerry OS 2.0 for PlayBook also packs native calendar, contacts and messages apps – something the initial version sorely lacked.

BlackBerry Bridge is another new feature that lets you seamlessly switch between screens of your BlackBerry smartphone and the PlayBook. It also lets you use your smartphone as a keyboard and mouse for the tablet.

BlackBerry PlayBook users can get the new OS 2.0 by checking for updates in “Settings.”

According to what i read concerning the rumor which might come true is that Apple is set to launch an iPad 3 and what could be expected from this new gadget is that its going to be similar to it predecessor iPad 2 which was released sometime in Feb last year(2011) but what will be different in this iPad 3 is that it might be running a much faster chip, sporting an improved graphics processing unit, plus a 2048×1536 Retina Display — or something close to it.

With what is been spread Apple is currently developing applications that will fit in this big screen iPad. Little did we know apple iPad is just two years and they already built three different Tablets although two were made whilts steve Jobs was alive while this one is under the regime of Tim cook.

So many guesses from IT bloggers, designers and publishers so below are the thought of people's idea and imagination what the iPad 3 could be like

Could this be iPad 3 ?

May be this...

or this...

Perhaps this is how Steve Jobs thought before he passed out

OMG!!!

Stay glued more still coming.

Jan 27 2010 marks the Launch of Apple iPad Since the launch of this Tablet, the world has never rested on murmuring and asking "how come its this slim" what kind of chip sets are inside ? " and the questions goes on...but in todays history iPad is among one of the most sold device for Apple, iPad has sold over 15.4 million units worldwide and its still one of the first choice for anyone who wants to use a Tablet PC.

Ever since the iPad came in existence two years ago, a lot of changes happened both Positives and Negative in the sense that people no longer want a gadget with low memory, poor GUI, SD pictures, no flexibility handle, and much more...

This device has also conquered almost all the Tablets made by other tablet companies but Amazon kindle fire which is not upto 6 months in existence is fast becoming a rival to iPad, lately this Android tablet has sold over 6 million kindle Fire across the globe and critics says the kindle sold this amount base on the fact that the Amazon Kindle is worth half the price of iPad 1.

In Dec alone Amazon officials claimed they sell atleast 2 million Kindle Fire units per week. Another tablet that made close to such sale was HP touchPad , 300k units were sold in less than 48hrs and why it went this way was also because HP dropped their prize to as low as $99 oh and also Amazon Kindle was as low as $199 while iPad at that time sells from $399!.

Currently iPad 2 prize starts from $499 from Apple store while rumors are already spreading about Apple launching iPad 3 before the end of summer.

Its the time of celebration, and people want to buy gadgets that will fit their celebration but when you go into the market you get confused Coz there are so many Tablets out there you just can't say ok I wanna buy this. First of all before you choose to buy any Tablet this season, do watch out for this CAMERA(MegaPixels from 3 upward), screen resolution, BATTERY LIFE and DURABILITY. Samsung

This would be a remarkable coup, if it runs out to be true. A source within the industry indicates that Samsung may actually launch a Retina-resolution tablet in February of next year. This will be ahead of Apple's next iPad which was supposed to be the first tablet device with a Retina-display. The tablet that Samsung will supposedly introduce will have the following impressive specs:
  • Android 4.0/Ice Cream Sandwich
  • 11.6 Inch Display with a massive 2560 x 1600 resolution and 16:10 aspect ratio
  • A dual-core Exynos 5250 CPU clocked at 2GHz - Which will be very competitive and slightly similar to the A6 CPU coming in the next iPad
  • A special feature called "Android Beam" for easy syncing of media with a Galaxy Nexus
  • Also a special wireless docking mode for gaming on HDTVs to help Samsung compete with Apple TV, AirPlay and others
The above pic is likely just an artist's render at this point, but the tablet is likely to be announced during Mobile World Congress, in February of next year. We will keep a watch on this one for more info or pics.
