Your iPhone may Be In Grave danger as the Threat of Hackers Loom still | Mobile phone latest news Google+ Follow Smartfonefreaks on Twitter

So a group of hackers threatened Apple and stated that if a ransom wasn't paid, they would remotely wipe millions of Apple devices.

Apple then came out to say that both the iCloud and Apple IDs are safe and that they will be actively monitoring the situation.

Little is known about the situation but according to an email sent to BGR, the hacker group calling themselves the Turkish Crime Family is claiming that their threat is still valid and if Apple does not pay the ransom, they will indeed proceed with the wipe which they claim the deadline is on the 7th of April.

The message reads, “[We] requested $100,000 for each of our members which is 7 in total or $1 million worth in iTunes vouchers for instant resale at 60% of the original gift card value + Some private stuff that we have agreed not to publicize as we believe it may ruin Turkish Crime Family and Apple relations. The second thing is worth more to us than money.”

What Apple's next step will be is unknown and it is entirely possible that could try to settle things behind the scenes.

Apple maintains that the iCloud and Apple IDs are safe and any device in danger is due to third party applications.
